After being the singer of Tong! (Hardcore-punk), the egg’s hatching as a solo project occurred during the selection process for the 2001 edition of “Printemps de Bourges” (one of the major French festivals). Having sent a three-tracks CD, he got programmed and was compelled to set up a show in the urgency. On this occasion, the drummer of hardcore bands Happy Anger and Plod supported him on stage. At first, the live-set included machines, samplers and loops, backed up by traditional instruments: bass, drums, and guitar…

Later these instruments were abandoned to create a much more electronic set, adding Vjing to Fred's machines, and making this live experience a rare set of explosive electro hip-hop.

Following the release of three singles, l’OEuf Raide released his first full length recording “13 à la Douzaine”, whisked electro for the best electromelette.

Constantly experimenting and crossing new horizons, he then released “Dans le même Panier”, “Are You Eggsperienced?” and lately “Berlin Eggsile”.
