Foam Tips is a brand new hip-hop & multimedia project initated by the californian MC producer Bigg Jus, who was also at the root of the 90s abstract hip-hop trend within the mythical Company Flow Crew and as head of Definitive Jux with his partner El-P. Foam Tips was born from the idea of a project, built year after year like TV series, with different seasons. Each season has its episode, its tour, but also its multimedia creative facets, in terms of photography, video, 3D projection mapping etc. that will takes shape live on stage, but also on the Foam Tips WebTV. The first part begins with the year 2011 : « Foam Tips Season 1: Unicron Returns » directs Bigg Jus collab with the MC producer K-The-I???, exceptionnaly gifted musician, with already 3 LPs under his belt, and in particular, the brilliant « Yesterday Today Tomorrow » released on Big Dada, the hip-hop section of the legendary UK label Ninja Tune. This first episode will also feature Skrapez' impressive live performance. This first episode will see a full collaboration of all protagonists, as music & text composers, but also in the field of video realisation (various creations & exclusisive footage, graphics, odd clips, short cuts, live reports, ...).On stage, their performance alternates vocals, live machines, electronic elements, VJing and 3D video screening, etc ... the whole scored with music, to bring into hip-hop a multimedia & kinematic dimention, unseen to date ! The translation between TV show and live show strengthens both, within an innovative dynamic movement ! A feast for ears & eyes in the offing !
