This Triple DVD/CD is the fucking colourful, live and epic testimony of Jarring Effects' work at a turning point in 2003. It is the result of ten years of non-profit activism, made possible through the exponential development of the label which began in 1998. Jarring Effects, the label, with its spearheads High Tone and EZ3kiel, are at the head of an artists and bands armada who are ready to fight on all sides of free and live electronic sound. They are now joined together in the same turmoil and on the same DVD (interviews, concerts extracts, video-clips...). Plus a documentary film that shows the singular state of mind which characterises the Dub scene in France, stamped “Do it Yourself!”, nurtured on active solidarity and ready for the live emulsion, on stage exactly, where it always proves reliable! Jarring Effects, the non-profit organisation, acts as a barometer of a certain assumption of citizen responsibility in Lyon (France); an undoubtedly alternative, surely extremist human experience. At the cross-roads of tours and festivals, from Mostar (Bosna i herzegovina) to “les Vieilles Charrues” (Carhaix).
