Three years after their first LP “Discopunkture”, Picore's sound has evolved and carry us in a much stronger symbiosis between hip-hop beats, noisy guitars, dirges of trumpets and softly wild clarinets. The hysteria of an out of control Theremin (strange sounding box) added to rich lyrics and plenty voices (sometimes sung, sometimes rapped, spoken or yelled) contributes to the massive 11 tracks orgy this new album is made of. “L'Helium du Peuple” is a disordered soundtrack, bringing you in dark, hazy and frightening landscapes. Recorded in A.B.T. Studio in Lyon (cavern of Bästard and Condense) and mixed by Nicolas Dick (Kill the Thrill), this visceral album is meant to be savoured without any moderation, and brings you to a melancholic exhilaration !
