DJ Twelve and Aku-Fen, members of High Tone, have both enjoyed working behind computers and desks on side-projects. These two sound programmers met the theatre company ‘Le Theatre de l’Exile’, and teamed up for the soundtrack of their stage performance “Lenteur” (Slowness). An appointment with ambient culture and ethnical influences, slow and deep dub, hypnotizing atmospheres and plenty of sound effects for three pieces, composed for the occasion and fully harmonized to the weird on stage experimental dance performance. Two other tracks are also included, ‘Mevlana in Dub’ from High Tone’s “Opus Incertum” and yet more dub with a remix wisely incorporating lyrics in Occitan. Our two soul mates seem to have been greatly inspired for this ethnical and colourful side project.
