This two-discs (audio and video) first album by Vox Populi appears as a unique concept, divided in two sections. The first one “As I lay Dying”, audio/video project about post-war Bosnia, is built around 130 pictures processed in motion and frames, resulting in so much cruel little daydreams. Aline Cateux and Stupid Dog have control on the soundtrack, which is a 30-minute piece where Laurie Anderson meets My Bloody Valentine, displaying a dark noise odyssey about sound, picture, and people's disappearance. Section Two is coloured with sophisticated, uncompromising techno/electro, supported by vibrant images put together for pure aesthetic purposes, spreading a vision of dance-floors much closer to rave-parties than to clubbing, taking you on a journey back in time, when techno was not just about blowing your mind and ears...
