Salim, aka Busyman, was during the 90's the singer of mythic French punk rock band Six Pack. In spring 2002, when he set out to record his first solo album he felt more influenced by PJ Harvey and Nick Drake. Busyman’s voice is deep and enlightened by the beauty of a peculiar sadness, anger and a desire to express his wounds with words. His acoustic guitar – his lifelong friend – carries this busy man’s voice away to unexpected spheres, to a world of self-disclosure. In these spheres, he is simply surrounded by a cello, a piano and on one track, ‘Donkey Shot’, by drums and samples. No doubt, one and all will hear the beatings of a bleeding heart when listening to this “Chronorupture”.
