The first electro hip-hop compilation initiated by Jarring Effects was born in 2006. Built around Gil Scott-Heron's famous aphorism "The Revolution will not be Televised", Audioactivism introduced many artists among which the new label's emblematic figures were to be found, showing everyone that beyond Dub, the label from Lyon also had a strong appetite for hip-hop based music to feed.

Audioactivism #2 logically follows the same musical trend, hybrid and audaciously blending influences. Inviting many internationally acknowledged MCs (Bleubird, M Sayyid, Ben Sharpa, Blurum 13, K The-I???...), this second compilation is made of some tracks taken from Jarring Effects last EP series, exclusively released on vinyl and digital (Playdoe, R;Zatz, JFX Studio Sessions) while giving the first rank place to previously unreleased tunes, like this collaboration between Bleubird (Canadian MC now based in Berlin, artistically and humanly close to the Anticon Crew) and Lyon producers Uzul (Kaly Live Dub), Led Piperz (Airflex Labs/High Tone) and R;Zatz (Jarring Effects) for three sky-high electro hip-hop tracks.

Audioactivism #2 is henceforth an excellent way to discover the latest Jarring Effects vinyl releases, tastefully combined to some fresh exclusive tracks, directly coming from our studios.
