In this third album, Brain Damage keeps surprising us. With their legendary precision, the duo suggests here a personal interpretation of “Dub Poetry”, a kind of music invented in the late 70's in Jamaica by Prince Far I, LKJ, or Oku Onura…among many others. Created around the concept of spoken word (recited poetry and not sung), “Spoken Dub Manifesto” is the result of 11 collaborations with vocalists/poets/writers with different origins and sensibilities : Mark Stewart, Giovanni “Subtitle” Marks , Dylan Bendall, Mohammed El Amraoui, Hakim Bey, Black Sifichi, Suzanne Thoma, Ted Milton (UK), Sam “Kronik” Clayton(Jam/F), Bart Plantenga (US/Nld) and Emiko Ota (Jap).
