At the limits of folk here, on the verge of jazz there, with the constant energy of funk-rock, this new album alternates restrained sensuality, like the call from beyond the grave in “Ghost Friend”, with the roughness of a telluric groove like “Love Child”. There is only one rule: not to have any. Never to end up as a set piece, never to water down that mad energy of allsorts, combined with incisive song-writing set to the highest standard. To highlight it with a few instrumental interludes, to make it ring true and hard… Times are changing: now’s the time to listen to Meï Teï Shô.
