Scorn, Mike Ladd, High Tone, µ-ziq, Amon Tobin, Young Gods, Von Magnet, Plaid, Hint, Pierre Bastien, Fingathing, The Bug, Disrupt, Bogdan Raczynski, Pole... are some of the artists that have played our festival, Riddim Collision, over the last 12 years, a festival that is built from crossing styles, discovering new musicians, acknowledging the underground art-forms, a festival where people with the same mindsets can meet each other in a feel good atmosphere
After all those years, festival Riddim Collision, organized by Jarring Effects has became one of he most important musical event in Lyon.
First Riddim Collision used to change location at various venues in town every year, but the last 2 years it has found its place, at the entrance to Lyon: « le marché de gros ».
Famous for its musical esthetics and its alternative values, this festival always asserts different tastes, far from the musical programming usually found at classic french festivals.
Riddim Collision finds it important to keep a human side, participating in good motives for social exchange and friendliness. It also welcomes as in every year, a lot of activities through underground and political structures involved in social causes all supported by jarring effects.
Some years were rough, but thanks to all technicians, musicians and volonteers, it always happened and it kept its first motivation and spirit: push unknown or forgotten artits who try to create alternatives to mainstream art-forms.
