Midnight Ravers continues to spread its « Mali-tronic » beyond all borders. The Sou Kono 2017 tour ends with an unprecedented formula at the Africolor festival on November 30th!
Midnight Ravers delivers a new facet of their live. They will work for this in the company of two representatives of the Malian hip-hop scene: Mc Waraba and Méléké Tchatcho from the Supreme Talent show of Bamako. The flow of the two rappers will flirt with the electronic beats of Dom Peter, the kora of Madou Sidiki Diabate, the ngoni of Assaba Dramé. As usual, this multidisciplinary concert will benefit from the collaboration of the talented painter Emmanuel Prost by establishing an immediate dialogue between artistic performance and the energy of the stage.
Noticed at the Eurockéennes in Belfort, these creators of the « Balani show » (a Malian cousin of Kuduro who mixes balafon and tama hip-hop) distill a conscious rap on explosive music. The Mandingo tradition mixes with the urban din of the bustling capital Bamako. 2017, a year punctuated by the emotion, the vitality of dancefloor and especially by traveling. He toured West Africa starting with the Africa Bass Culture Festival in Burkina Faso. And at the Asa Baako Festival in Ghana! He ended this epic sound in Ivory Coast (Bushman Coffee) and Mali (BlonBa). Enriched by these experiences, Midnight Ravers is featured in renowned venues such as the Transbordeur, the 6B in Paris and Gravière in Geneva. They have also appeared on prestigious festivals such as Nuits Sonores, Les Invites de Villeurbanne, Novamix Radio Nova and MIL – Lisbon International Music Network.
The year 2018 heralds a new album as well as international tours in India, Reunion Island, East Africa and Canada.
